Osman is a Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatrist at the department of children’s neuroscience at Evelina London Children’s Hospital / St Thomas’ Hospital which is a tertiary teaching hospital in London UK, with the largest neuroscience department in the UK. He works across several teams, which include 1. TANDeM (Tics/ Tourette and Neurodevelopmental movement disorders service), 2. Complex neurodevelopmental and Neurodisability service, 3. Children’s psychological medicine / paediatric liaison and 4. Provides input to the national children’s sleep medicine service.
Osman teaches on the MSc in Neuropsychiatry course at Kings College London. He is also actively involved in research in Tics / movement disorders and publication. He is the site PI for NIHR funded SATURN trial (Stimulant Medication for ADHD and Tics - Understanding Response versus Non-stimulants: a randomised trial of the clinical and cost-effectiveness of methylphenidate versus Guanfacine for ADHD in children and young people with a co-existing tic disorder. He is also an investigator on two genetics: 1. (TicGen study / Tourette International Collaborative), 2. Intense Imagery Movements: Genetic and Clinical Associations.
