Marta Celmiņa is a Sleep Specialist – Paeditrician dedicated to advancing the field of Sleep Medicine in Latvia. As President of the Latvian Sleep Medicine Society, she has made it her mission to raise awareness, improve treatment standards, and integrate global best practices into local healthcare not only for children, but adults alike.
With participation in professional exchange programs across Canada, England, Scotland, the USA, and Australia, dr. Celmiņa has explored diverse healthcare systems and approaches to Sleep Medicine. These international experiences have enriched her perspective and continue to inform her efforts to adapt and implement best practices in Latvia.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Celmiņa is actively involved in basic research focused on sleep health. She is also deeply committed to education and regularly mentors medical students and residents, guiding the next generation of specialists in the field of sleep medicine. Her work in both research and mentorship reflects her dedication to building a stronger, evidence-based foundation for sleep care in Latvia and beyond.
