Ieva Šlēziņa

Ieva Šlēziņa is the Director of the Medical Education Technology Centre at Rīga Stradiņš University, with a diverse educational background in public relations, business administration, and clinical medicine that brings a unique perspective to healthcare and medical education.

After 15 years of leadership in healthcare project management and consulting, she fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a medical doctor with a clinical focus in pediatrics.

She is now dedicated to implementing simulation-based training at all levels of medical education to enhance patient safety, improve healthcare quality, and strengthen professional readiness for real-life challenges—with a particular emphasis on advancing pediatric residency training in Latvia.
