Dace Zavadska
Prof. Dace Zavadska is a paediatric infectious diseases specialist and since 2016 takes the position of the Chair of the State Immunization Council (NITAG) under Ministry of Health of Latvia. She works as senior PID specialist and the Head of Family Vaccination Centre at Children Clinical University Hospital, Riga, Latvia and has a full professor position at Riga Stradins University and corresponding member of Latvian Academy of Sciences. Prof. Zavadska is also a consultant and keeps active membership in organisations related to vaccines and vaccination strategies. She has an in-depth understanding of various aspects of immunization and it’ s programs in Latvia and Europe. Until September 2023 she held the position of Chair of WHO Global NITAG Network (GNN) steering committee, she is a core member of EU/EEA NITAGs group at ECDC and a consultant for Centre of Disease Prevention and Control of Latvia for state projects regarding vaccine preventable diseases, keeps active membership in organisations related to vaccines and vaccination strategies. She is a leading researcher-scientific project manager in several ongoing studies regarding vaccines and vaccine-controlled infections.
